Thread: Word viewer on PlayBook

Does anybody else have an issue with viewing and editing Word documents I find it hit and miss as to whether my PlayBook will open a document and it may sound silly but if it doesn't open first time in landscape I'll turn it to portrait and sometimes it'll open (weird ). Am I the only person experiencing this or is there a work around?

Good morning waynemack! I don't really use my Playbook to store/edit/create Word documents (I use Files and Folders app with Box, Dropbox and Google to view only). I'm going to download a variety of Word files when I get to work and see if I can duplicate your issue.

Thanks Harmeling68 it would be good if you could help, because I am out on site 90% of the day I rely on my torch and playbook heavily all of my call outs come via a programme called metastorm all of my materials lists are word documents a separate issue which has only just started is if I edit a document like an overtime sheet and try and save it.with a different title it goes as far as the choose a title and destination screen but won't actually save! . I use the BOX for my personal items but the office prefer email.

Oh and Guernsey is in a group of islands called the channel islands we are British but are located nearer to France in the English channel

I downloaded Word documents and edited and "saved as" and it's worked for me every time. Question: when you look to view your saved document, are clicking on "browse" to find it? I say that because a "saved as" document never shows up in Docs to Go until you click on "browse", find it and open it. Post back!

Thanks I normally just open the documents either directly from an email or from the file manager app, I think I've found the cause of my problem accidentally when I deleted some movies since then all documents I've tried have opened first time so I suspect it was a memory issue I was using 47gb
