Exclamation Can someone please explain how the android player works?

All sorts of issues are coming on to not only my playbook but everyone else has similar complaints. Wifi keeps dropping down to almost nothing, browser gets glitchy like a lot of ram used up, batteryis getting sucked fromm 100% to nothing in 3 hours....audio isnt working properly....

So i look in ghost commander and in the android apps theres a bunch of settings relating to pb hardware...

This could mean things are running in the background but we dont see them....another reason why some people have to reboot using the power button + volume up button.

I dunno. I just dont have any faith in android. I hate how on peoples phones its skins over the original os... And the android os is def not up to par with some hardwares...

Why do people love android...cuz of games? Come on...

Someone please explain how the code/scripts in adroid apps link up to qnx commands...

The Android runtime environment on the PlayBook works independently from the QNX-based OS on the PlayBook. It is based off the Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread) platform, and allows for certain Android application to run on the PlayBook. As of now it is still somewhat limited to its interaction with the underlying OS QNX, but RIM has slowly been making more things available. Over the next couple months we should see the following additions to the Android runtime environment:

    November

Push API- Support for Cloud to Device Messaging (C2DM), otherwise known as Push.
Sensor Support - Support for ambient light and proximity sensors.
SMS Support - Intent support to compose and send SMS text messages.

    December

Keyboard Support - Support for the new 720x720 screen resolution and physical keyboard integration.
