Yes it is. I will be testing some other ways this weekend and will report back.
Sounds good I will look forward to seeing your results :)
Guys i have native BBM working on the playbook + the BB10 camera, i dont have the BB10 keyboard yet either. it is very laggy apart from BBM which runs well :) Attachment 3976Attachment 3977Attachment 3978Attachment 3979Attachment 3980
Thanks for sharing Steven, what was the process you took to get it working?
downloaded the files for 10.0.9.388, then used Dingleberry to install the OS, which is called: winchester.sdk-10.0.9.388-nto+armle-v7+signed. I then used Sachup to gather the rest of the application files and installed these all using DDPB they all installed fine apart from 1 or 2, BBM still goes off your Playbooks PIN but it also registers with your BBID. If anyone needs some more in depth instructions then please let me know
Would you be willing to create a new forum thread with a tutorial on how to do so? That would be sweet!
I'm posting this in the blog as we speak. I'll be sure to link back here and give you a shoutout. Thanks again bro.
Does the normal keyboard work so you can type and send BBM messages?
Yeah mate the keyboard works, and yes I will do a tutorial tomorrow as I am in the UK and its quite late here now
I don't find my BBM that laggy it sometimes locks out but it does work fine had a few convosations on it earlier
Yeah the groups I found worked better than conversations.
Browser is good though seems fast but you can't see the text your typing I think its to do with the keyboard tho!
Yes I find that it does about every 10seconds even though I have it set to 90second time out. I am not sure what could be causing it. Unless there is some sort of power save mode that I am not aware of yet. I'm going to see if it will run better using OS10.0.6.386 with some of the native apps from the 10.0.9.44 build. I think that could have a significant improvement but I will have to let you know how that goes mate. Hopefully as we get closer and closer to the offcial build things will run smoother, but clearly we will never get a clear build until we have a build specifically for our playbooks :) but the good news is we are no in Q4 so only 1more quater left until we can get some complete BB10 devices in our hands. And to be honest I am going to stick with the L-series because I just love the look of that touch screen keyboard it looks sick! Even though I have never been a fan of full touch screen devices in the past!
Yeah, the problem is the same thing that was mentioned at the beginning of this thread. When you install the OS this way there are still traces of the old OS that remain and the system get confused, you will also notice that there are two setting panel one for BB10 and one for OS 2.0.
Have you ever come across cfp before
PM me your BBM pin.
