Discuss: More Pictures Of The 4G,3G BlackBerry PlayBook Surface

We have already seen quite a few pictures of RIM's upcoming 4G/3G PlayBook. The latest wave of leaked pictures gives us a better idea of how the 4G/3G components will integrate with the PlayBooks OS. Reports are also coming in that the new 4G/3G models will have NFC support, and that users will be able to utilize BlackBerry protect. This is great news, BlackBerry protect is a feature that all users should be familiar with.

In addition, we will most likely see a modified version of PlayBook OS 2.0 to address the needs of 4G/3G radios as well as any other new components RIM decides to release with it. The PlayBook 4G/3G models are expected to be out sometime later this year.

Take a look at the latest pictures and let us know your thoughts. Are you planning on purchasing a 4G/3G capable PlayBook or will you wait for a 10" version that could have mobile network options?

I would like to get the 7" BlackBerry PlayBook 4G version if it has BBM in stand alone version. I may not be intrested in upgrading if this is left out.

I am actually thinking about it. I would love to be able to have the NFC technology and the faster processor. I do not believe that the BBM with be in this build...

I'm in. Would definitely buy it. Bridge function is useful but can't use it always. 4g/3g PB would be awesome.
Reg, 10 inch tab not sure quite yet. Will decide when they launch it. For now love the 7 inch form factor.

4G speeds would be excellent...can I use my BB phone sim card?

Does the camera have autofocus for close-ups? IMO, apps like Evernote et al. need it because sometimes (e.g.) print articles are photographed...

    Higher screen dpi???

RIM will probably not market this at 200 dollars. They are not making any more 16 GB's, this means the base model would be the 32 GB. For a PlayBook 4G, I'd say they would most likely price it at 399.99 for the 32 GB and 499.99 for the 64 GB.
