Thread: Native Email date/time oddity...

I just imported a lot of emails from my Gmail account via pop into a new webmail account. I couldn't understand why a whole lot of emails were arriving in the new webmail with the current date and time rather than the time they were sent. Then I realised that they were all emails i had sent, via Gmail, from my Playbook native email. I'm no good at interpreting headers so I post below a header received in the new webmail which came from Playbook followed by a header from a message sent from Gmail on my laptop.

What is happening in Playbook native email to cause this?

Is the new webmail account pop? There is actually nothing in either header that would suggest there is a problem, they look quite normal actually. Did you have any filters set up in gmail? Also it looks like your new web mail is an IMAP account. Is that correct?

Yes, I had filters set in Gmail. I hadn't set the new webmail for IMAP and was importing from Gmail via POP as afar as I am aware. But the odd messages were not confined to just one email address nor to any type of recipient account. Only common factor was that they were sent from Playbook native email.

you may need to adjust that filter. Are you still having the same issue. I am willing to bet it was a one and done thing.
