Thread: BlackBerry App World is not currently available in your country?

Is anyone else experiencing this issue when opening up BlackBerry App World on their BlackBerry PlayBook?

You get a messege from BlackBerry App World,

BlackBerry App World is not available in your country. Please check BlackBerry.com/appworld for updates.

Yes, seems to be a bug. Some have been affected, doesn't seem to be a pattern. I lost App World access this morning, but can access it now.

I appreciate your feedback, and hope I can get my App World working again, as I need to purchase a few apps.

Some have reported a simple reboot will clear it up. Different people in the same city. One can access App World, the other can't. All I know is early this morning App World was pretty much useless around 08:00 EST. East Coast anyways, probably because the West Coast was not yet awake. Some speculate the issues started when RIM pulled the carrier tab (I forget which one). I thought it was clearing up, at any rate I am sure RIM is hard at work, trying to fix whatever it is that is broke.

Just to let everyone know, it's working now...seems RIM was working on something from their end.

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this, or a possible fix. With no changes to my playbook, app world opens a window saying there are problems in my country. (USA) It allows me to view installed apps, but that is it. Any suggestions?

Yep,me too. It also happened a few days ago. I'm sure they'll fix it here in a bit.

Still happening to me and another post showed up with same issue. This happened a few days ago too so I'm sure it'll be fixed in a bit

I don't think App World for PlayBook is available yet in Pakistan. If not, hopefully soon.

I just checked and all is working properly again, at least for me.
