It seems as though there are quite a few people that were wondering about why their Bridge Browser icon was missing. Please know that this is by design. If your BlackBerry device is not associated with a BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server) you will not see the Bridge Browser icon on your BlackBerry PlayBook.
The icon will show up if your device is connected to a BES account, this will allow you to browse your corporate intranet securely.

Please see article KB29992 for more information. I hope this clears up some things.This is by design as the native Browser provides the same functionality when bridged, therefore making the Bridge Browser redundant.
The Bridge Browser is present when connected to a BlackBerry smartphone associated with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server in order to allow browsing corporate intra-net.
