Thread: Playbook update, delete prior install?

I don't know if this has been covered yet. But with the new OS coming out in the near future is it wise for me to reset to factory fresh prior to installing 2.0. Currently I've been running OS 2.0.0.711 with no problems, but this version is missing quite a few talked about features (I.E. file sharing, remote control). Any and all input would be great. Thanks

From what I've read on , if a BlackBerry PlayBook owner has the Beta OS currently installed, it is highly advisable to remove the Beta OS, reboot the PlayBook, then install the official PlayBook OS, which is version 1.0.8.6067.

If a BlackBerry PlayBook owner has not installed the Beta OS, then the user may obtain the OS2.0 update via OTA (Over The Air).

There are several features with OS2.0, some were mentioned, some were not, it's a matter of time before we find out what those features are on Feb.21, 2012.

just do a security wipe before installing the new os upgrade, i'll advise u to back up all ur data and apps

Yes backup your data and revert back to the default OS that's your best bet.
