My wife will be away next week and we will be video chatting. Just a thought: I told her not to update to OS 2.0 whilst she is away in case of problems. However I won't be able to resist here at home so I wondered if someone can confirm that Video Chat (Playbook/Playbook) will continue to work with Playbooks on the different OSs?
Nothing can be confirmed either way to be completely honest until the OS comes out. Odds are that it will still work between PBs with different OSes because not everyone will upgrade right away, but until it actually comes out and is tested there's no way to really know.Quote:

What surprised me was how quickly the connection was made. I had set up both our Playbooks before Yolanda left. When I tapped her icon in video chat it began ringing almost immediately. Yes, the quality was excellent Spain/Holland. I detected a very slight voice out-of-sync at times but nothing to worry about. Video quality was good. Lulu, our boxer dog couldn't understand how mum was speaking to her from this little box :)
Video Chat works OK between OS 1 and OS 2.
Does oovoo work now? because i cant get it to work properly

1. Do you need airtime to do a video chat?
2. Does a blackerry playbook only opens in Landscape or also in potrait when rotating the tablet?
Video Chat works VERY GOOD for me. My Lady lives in AL and I live in GA and the connection is actually better than our cell phones connection, go figure :). She is a Android lover, but fell in love with me and my PlayBook :) and had to have both. Now I don't have to beg to get my PlayBook back, but I do have to beg for her to put her's down for a different kind of FUN :D
Do you use it over BIS connection or Wifi for video call??
I'm using wifi only for PlayBook video chat. Works GREAT, better than our cell phone connectionQuote:
