The fact that the PlayBook OS 2.0 wasn't officially released to the public during DevCon disappointed a lot of people. Although we did get a 2.0 beta release, the PlayBook owners know how great of a tablet this is and how much potential it possesses; we wanted to see it put into action. Little by little though, we're seeing some developers do amazing things with this beta OS. The latest novelty to pop up in the forums is seeing a PlayBook running 3 different environments in the Android player of OS 2.0. The guys over at @BB_IN were able to take the above video to show it off for us.
I have heard from certain people that aren't really loving this idea too much. Their argument? If I wanted a tablet that ran Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich, I would've bought an Android tablet. While this may be a great argument for some, I can't help but disagree. Many people that have Macs are able to simultaneously run Windows on their computers and switch back and forth between the two OSes as they please. I simply like the fact that the BlackBerry PlayBook can do this. The potential for this tablet is still being explored. People are finding new things it can do constantly and as a BlackBerry fan, I'm all for it.
