I have been using the playbook for about 3 solid days now and here are some thoughts.
I must say this is now my favorite tablet out of all of them. I have owned the iPad, iPad 2, Galaxy Tab, and Xoom, and Touchpad.
1. I really like the 7" screen. This size is practical for taking with me everywhere I go. I remember telling my brother that the smaller screen size is the only thing holding me back from buying the playbook but imho I like it more then the 10" size.
2. You know the saying "Nothing runs like a Deere", well......"Nothing runs like a Playbook." I mean this thing is MONEY, the multitasking, gestures, smoothness(thanks Mr. Dual Core). Basically Blackberry succeeded where Palm/HP failed, especially in cards/gestures/NO-LAG.
Now I understand the apps are lacking right now but lets be real, out of all the hundred or so apps you have on your iPad/Xoom/Galaxy, which ones do you really use or have pulled up in the last 30 days.
1) browser..........done
2) facebook.........done
3) movie player..........Playbook has a sick HD movie player with the sickest audio..........double done
4) thinking.................
5) thinking.................
6) email..........I have 2 opinions on this, first, most of us actually manage our email from our smartphone. If you don't have one yet, go donate some plasma to pay for it :-). Second, because flash works awesome on this device it is easy to use the www while we wait for native email support(you can upload pix, vids, and docs with gmail)
7) Netflix..........I know, it breaks me heart too, maybe someday....my daughter will be patient for only so long.
8) Skype..........K, really, not 100% needed. Maybe if you are a business traveler and want to stay in touch with the fam.
9) Kindle..........https://www.read.amazon.com .....done
10) Games..........what you really mean is angry birds, don't tell me you actually bought a tablet for something greater than angry birds....but.......hopefully android player will satisfy this craving. As you can see you only REALLY use a select few, Playbook has almost all of them covered.
I know some will disagree with me, I really believe the Playbook to be the best tablet on the market today.
