Thread: AT&T Allows PlayBook Bridge Download

Since the release of the PlayBook, AT&T customers have had to use a work-around method to get the BlackBerry Bridge to work on their PlayBook. Well today at noon, AT&T has officially made it available to it's consumers via App World. No additional fees will be charged to use the BlackBerry Bridge but AT&T has made sure to remind folks that if they tether they will need to pay an extra $20/month for it. So all you AT&T BlackBerry PlayBook owners get to it!

I know that AT&T will charge you if you bridge your device to your playbook and then start streaming anything. They have stated that they can tell if you are streaming say from your device to your sound system or TV and they will send out an email stating what you're doing and if you don't stop, you'll be charged for tethering.
I was informed of the email warning by one of my fellow workers last night. He streams from his iPhone to his TV all the time, and he finally got caught.
I'll try to find an official AT&T statement.
