    BB Playbook - why so few market information and customer help?

    I would like to know why RIM is so "closed" and it does not make a good marketing, both by spot and on its web site. If you think about, you have now just few spots, few information and the web site is really hard to be used... information are make for tech people and they are hidden and not so easy to be used. It is a great help for everybody web sites like BBOS that are very clever to take out the information and tip from blackberry web site... but the problem stands still... if Rim devices and softwares (like BES) are so friendly why the way they front the users is so not friendly? Why it is so difficult to understand what to do and they have not any valid customer care? I do not want to bear you but today, taking a look to the market, it seems to have a Ferrari and no driving licence. Maybe I have not understood well the situation, I would like to buy a playbook, information is poor, mainly are sold by phone operators that are without any customer care about and, if you have troubles is hard to get assistance by RIM....

    Welcome to birillo. If you are talking about trying to get information from blackberry.com, you do make an excellent point. It does seem that trying to get useful consumer information is difficult at best. And if you try to rely on just their web site for information to assist in the decision to purchase a RIM product, you will not get useful product patterns.
    However, as you stated, there are very good sites that you can research for that missing information and with , you can find all the information you need. And that's why we're here, to help users enjoy their BlackBerry device to the fullest and to find that information that the BB web site doesn't seem to have.

    RIM has always made it difficult to get a hold of someone for support, especially by phone.

    It is even rather difficult for developers to get a hold of support if you can believe that.

    In addition to RIM, AT&T's site will drive you insane as well. It really does take people like Joe to start or take over forums in order to make life easier for everyone else.
