I have been looking at the ipad 2 and playbook and reading all the reviews to determine which to go with. Am now leaning toward the playbook since I am a blackberry user. Would it make more sense at this point to wait for the next version of playbook to come out before purchasing?

Take for instance the Bold 9700 which came installed with OS 5.0. Now this phone can run OS 6.0 like it is made for it.
So waiting for the next gen of the playbook is a more personal question on what you are expecting from the device and does the current gen fulfill these expectation.
By "next version", I am guessing you mean next generation short for gen
Thanks, i guess I am looking at using it for basic stuff. Some things I do want to do is use it for presentations. If I am conducting a seminar is it useful to have my notes and read them off the playbook? Also can I use the playbook for powerpoint presentations hooked up to a video procector?
As PlayBook owner I can tell you that its been a bittersweet ride. If you have the patience , and are willing to grow with the device as it matures then I would suggest you get one now. Despites its problem I cant seem to part with mine.
The PlayBook does have the ability to present PowerPoint presentations if assuming the projector has an HDMI port. Its a great for reading your notes.
My favorite part about the PlayBook is the browser. The ability to experience all website content is great, making the PlayBook's browser superior to the iPad. I don't even use the Facebook app because the browser runs Facebook.com so well.
I love my playbook, my favorite thing about it is the browser as well. All they need now is more CODEC support to perfect its media abilities. My other fav is BBM and email via bridge. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is: How do I maximize the email in its entirety? Does anyone know?
I also own a Kindle, can I replace that with the playbook?
The PlayBook has Kobo Books which is very similar to what the Kindle has to offer in regards to ebooks Really nice actually.
