Speculation leads to rumors branching directly from it. The latest reports claimed that pricing for the PlayBook would be under $500.00(USD). A contact at Mobility Insider has now reported that their inside contact has given them a market pricing guideline.
As far as build specs, they remain true to what has been talked about previously. All three models will retain all the same features, with just the internal memory sizes being different. WiFi or tethering to your BlackBerry will be the only way an internet connection will be available.
The pricing for the BlackBerry PlayBook is deemed to be as follows:
8GB: $399.00
16GB: $499.00
32GB: $599.00
If this is correct information, the pricing would help it move with the iPad, considering that there is no need for an extra monthly data plan to be purchased. BUT...a 32GB device as the top tier device? For $599.00? Still seems like a step behind the iPad to me.
What are your thoughts on this pricing?
