BlackBerry Playbook Tablet available for Pre-Order @MobileCityOnline.com

While browsing one of my favorite mobile device websites I came across an amazing find - BlackBerry Playbook Pre-Order form! MobileCityOnline is currently taking Pre-Orders for $599.99 with not estimated date of arrival. The site has listed the Playbook MSRP at $899.99. Rumors on the grapevine have sounded that the Playbook Tablet will be available as early as February of 2011! Will you be ordering your Playbook to get your hands on it as soon as possible or will you wait to get on in-store? I must say, from personal experience with M.C.O. they are a reliable and dependable Mobile sales company based in New York City and I have ordered several devices from them in the past...just reassuring you everyone this is no hoax. IF YOU LOVE RIM ORDER YOURS NOW*!

I called M.C.O. to interview them about the fact that the price they are listing it at does not match with recent news reportings claiming that the PlayBook would be priced at a lower margin than the Apple *cough*trash*cough* I-Pad. The representative explained that that is the current price reflects only what they know since they have not recieved shipment; however once the beloved PlayBook goes on sale the price will either go down to reflect the MSRP which the product will actually be sold for nationwide or it will go up depending on what RIM decides to do - as Jim Balsille stated "The PlayBook will be priced under $500."

There is something very similar posted on Neowin. Though they suggest from the post it will be under the $500 mark. At least for the entry unit.

I'll wait till I can get one locally. But I've already resigned myself to not getting it as a xmas present

Yeah - I am not sure why those decided to post the price up since it is still up in the air. I am sure it will change when the actual cost is released to the public and retailers.

For sure, it will most likely be discounted with a service plan/upgrade via service provider.
