RIM Releases BlackBerry PlayBook SDK and Simulator
RIM has released the SDK and Simulator for the BalckBerry Playbook. The initial release of the BlackBerry PlayBook OS SDK will allow developers to create Adobe AIR applications. BlackBerry PlayBook OS SDK for Adobe AIR will allow developers to create rich, powerful applications like never before. Support for content and applications using Adobe Flash 10.1 and HTML5 with the BlackBerry PlayBook Simulator with the BlackBerry Browser will be coming out soon.
The BlackBerry PlayBook simulator is very basic in what it shows and does, just enough of the base is there to allow developers to run their apps. There are no other apps installed in the simulator like the device simulators. It looks like RIM is either trying to keep everything tightly under wraps or they are far from having the QNX Neutrino OS from complication.
I can not wait till I can get my hands on the BlackBerry PlayBook, and hope it lives up to the hype surrounding it. Whay are your thoughts on the BlackBerry PlayBook? Will you be sporting one of these for yourself?
