RIM purchases Blackpad.com!
The fact that all of the rumors about the BlackPad are becoming more and more legit has certainly piqued my attention. If you can recall not too long ago, when the iPad was being released, there were rumors going around that RIM was developing something that they can use to compete with Apple. There wasn't any legitimate proof that the BlackPad existed or was going to exist, or that it was even going to be named the BlackPad. We do now, however, have semi-proof that the BlackPad is going to come to light in the near-distant future. RIM has recently purchased BlackPad.com which now has given us a bit more reasoning to think that we will be seeing the BlackPad come to fight the iPad.
I, personally, think it's great that RIM want's to release something to continue the competition with Apple; except the point of competition is to be in a close race per se and RIM hasn't even announced the BlackPad is legit let alone when it will be released. It's needless to say, not a competition anymore but more of a way for RIM just to merely open up in that category. Don't get me wrong, I'll still buy one to support RIM but simply because RIM is going to secretly take over the world.... No, but really, I fully support RIM and even though their coming to the fight late, I still think their BlackPad will come out to trump the iPad in nearly every category.
