Thread: Unable to install Desktop Manager7 for my Playbook

hello everyone a little help before I blow a gasket please ?

Every time I try to install desktop manager 7, I get an error prompting me to install microsoft.NET 3 sp1 which in turn I cannot install...
Any advice on turning my Playbook into a functional device instead of a very expensive brick ?
I must add that I was thinking of buying the Torch 9860 but if everything works as well I'd have to reconsider...

When you say you cant install what does that mean? Do you get an error? You can always manually install net framework before you try installing Desktop Software 7. http://www.microsoft.com/net

I tried cleaning all versions of.NET and installing 3 but i'm always told to enable it using programs and Functionalities but it never activates.
Of course BBDM 7 requires it to be enabled so you can see the vicious circle I'm stuck in...

I used CC Cleaner, .NET framework setup cleanup utilty, all to no avail, so I'm really at wit's end here.

Did you go to the link and download the version 4? Try that then reinstall desktop software.

.NET 4 installed, still doesn't work...

If you're on PlayBook 2.1, you can use BlackBerry Link.

Maybe give that a shot?

I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes.
Just so I know, wil I be able to also link a torch 9560 if I buy it or is it exclusive to the Z10 ?

Sorry 9860 as you probably guessed^^

Blackberry Link installed, Playbook identified, OS updated.
Still can't sync though , I just want to curl up in a ball and cry^^

Did you manually download the netframework like I suggested?

Both my PlayBook and Z10 hate my computer for some reason. Have to turn off all network connections for it to sync properly.

I just use Box or Dropbox to add media to my phone.
