hmm i em on the new 2.1 update i still have the Video store, what country is your playbook set at? i know some users above had said they live in the UK and set it to US and then they got the full 339 MB Download

US. Its never changed ..o never leqve my house lol.. Im on a 16g ..bought from walmart in july... I did use dev mode to get the os 2.1 beta back in august or so... I wonder if i should have downgraded first...but then why would i get the same thing even after a whole security wipe and clean install? I dont have a LTE as it was never made for 16g... Should i just try and do a clean install via desktop software? I dunno...i wondoer
if i am the only one catching this.

hmm if you don't have anything "important" on your Playbook you could try Wiping it out (i don't know if it will wipe out the OS to a factory version tho) but first i would try getting to a Official Blackberry Playbook OS like one of tho 2.0 OS and then use the Desktop Software to download the 2.1

The slide buttons were different after I did the first update... Now in a clean install the slide buttons really back to what I know a normal. LOL. Just saying..no biggie really.. It may or may not he directly related to my issue... If anyone Wants to call me and discuss hit me up in a pm. I will be available later this evening..9pm central time.

And this keyboard is starting to pissme off now customers setting changes won't take effect..


Ok so how can u do a os2 update first..? (god this is almost like windows nt hell back before xp )

ok so what is wrong with your keyboard?

also try this (don't know if this will just reload OS 2.1 or factory OS but its worth a try)

Turn off Your Playbook wait for it shut down (while its shutting down start Blackberry Desktop Software) after the Blackberry Software has fully started up and the playbook has fully shut down plug in the USB Cable to your Playbook
then the desktop software should say unable to communicate with the Device and ask you 3 things.

click update then repair and then wait for it to finish it should fix your problem (hopefully)

ok heres what happend. this morning i was running 2.1...084 beta...

i think i should have downgraded back to 2.0...668. since i think beta was a bricked version.

Well before i knew that i gave up and just did a wipe and reinstall like new outta the box,,, but it was different than outta the box .. it MADE me do a upgrade to 2.1 offical ( todays release ) so.. right now im attempting to restore using desktop software back to september when i last did a back up. ( in process of restoring now) hopefully ill be back at 2.1 beta. if i am i have no other option than to debrick using this meathod.

heres the thing. i went from 2.0.560... to beta 2.1.084... i missed the 2.0.668 update which was a fix...and the solid 2.0 os everyone was on. so i missed a huge chunck of data files.

ok so now lol how to i get to .668? i think beta 2.1 bricked me...

someone help me ...im gonna go nutty here in a minute, i still havent resorted to the CB link i posted... not yet... im scared..lol

uugh i need someone who knows the roots system files, and if mine are corrupt or not..

Yeah..plus I did a restore before I did the repair. What seemed to be my confirmed was the was mail is now able to flip to portrait..and I'm sure they'll be a follow up fix updates for this current os 2.1. Especially after Oct 10th.... Thank u

And keyboard is back to normal a seekers to be less glitchy. And my html5 test scored 303

Well bridge isn't working... But I dunno.. I'm not the average bb user. I have a 16g pb..so there's no simple card or anything on this device.. And my phone well..my services even with att is no data just text and voice. What ducks is I used to get appworld on my phone..till a upgrade made it to where if u don't have data services than u couldn't log into appworld (its a curve 8520)... So I've never used anything like BBM or protect.. But when bb10 comes out..I'm getting it...data and all. Then I'm sure I'll have to buy a new PB after that.
Add me on fb or something.. I will let u know of anything else is weird.. And I've never actually had anyone to discuss bb issues with.. All my friends right ios whores. Or DROID sluts.. ( Facebook.com/quepondex )

I know the textplus quit working after the update... not sure why?
