Any Flipberry owners found a good screen protector??

I've been having a problem getting screen protectors to stick to the top portion of the phone. Since the screen protectors are flat, it wont stick to the slight curve on the front face. Its really ugly looking since dust gets stuck under. I've been using a hard case for a while, but I wanted to go naked lol. I was thinking about getting a solid black vinyl skin, but that still doesn't solve the screen protector problem, since the screen protector would have to go under the skin. I included a picture to show the curve that I'm talking about.

Hello Linda,

A screen protector is designed to protect the screen itself, and not the whole face of the device. You'd be better served by installing a "skin", which is a thin protective layer of material that covers the entire device. Something like this:

I use a flip case myself (own a Flip as a backup Berry), so am unsure which of these products work better. But they are better suited to the kind of protection you are seeking than a screen protector would be. Most screen protectors are only designed to adhere to the screen itself.

... I've heard such bad opinions about those protective skins. It also scares me to have to apply liquid to make it stick. Everyone always says BB + Liquid= bad

It just sucks that I bought screen protectors that dont stick all the way. Why bother selling something that doesnt protect 100% of the area it is supposed to cover.

They should just cut them off before the camera if it doesn't work anyways.

I am running your question by the other Help Team members in hopes that someone might have a recommendation for you. I am sorry I was unable to help, however, I am unfamiliar with the screen protector options for the 82xx series.

I dont mind if i have to cut them to size myself, I just need a screen protector that is a bit more bendable

First what kind of protector did you try out?

Second, I had a similar problem and I figured out a solution that I forgot to share with members a long time ago.

If you look at the picture below you will see pretty defined curves on my Storm. At least where the protector goes.

What I did was after I put the protector in place I put this rubber case I had on it and wrapped it with rubber bands and left it for a day.

The skin needs to dry so it adheres fully to the device. You can still remove it, but it also doesn't peel up.

You probably don't have a rubber case like I had so you could use a thick towel or something to wrap it in.
Then wrap it with several rubber bands.
It doesn't need to be tight it just has to be a lot of them.
I had them going across and up and down to where you couldn't see anything.

Do it before bed or something if you need your phone every day.

I'll be putting a new one on mine soon anyway and i'll do a write up with pics so you and others can see my technique.

I know this sounds kind of a weird practice, but I was amazed. It's almost a 90 degree turn on the Storm edges. Every little bit helps.

Nothing is perfect though, mine is just starting to peel a little bit on one edge.
But, in its defense it is in and out of my holster constantly and it has been a whole year.

well... I gave the elastic trick a try. I left it sitting for 2 whole days. It stuck 99% of the way, its just peeling a tiny bit on the edge. Im gunna buy more screen protectors. But not the bubble free ones... those ones are alot stiffer, im guessing the purpose is to "push" out the bubbles. Im sure your trick is gunna work much better with "cheaper" flexible protectors.

Quick tip for anyone reading this... those "washable and reuseable" protectors are total BS. You cant wipe off the water so you get water drop marks, and alot of dust sticks to it while drying.
Also if you look at the picture posted above of the protectors I got. They are totally NOT anti-glare or anti-fingerprint. So dont waste your money :)
