What will it do besides the obvious?
I have a friend...well i've talked with him in the same forum for YRS. He used his bbm the first time the other day msg'n me. He said he mainly uses his for texting and obviously phone calls. I told him id email him some info. Can he do anything on that phone? as in browser, apps, etc,,etc?
A small descripstion with some links would be great. He isn't even on any BB forums. he said he has "crappy t mobile and his calls are always dropped". So, i have no clue where he lives in the usa. Maybe out in the sticks or somewhere where has no signal.

It'll do the same things your Curve does. Of course he would need a data plan to use the browser and any app that connects to the net though.

I would recommend he try the new Opera Mini 5 beta for web browsing:

It's quite an improvement over the stock BB web browser.
Aside from that, the Pearl Flip can do ANYTHING any other 4.6.0.x/4.6.1.x BlackBerry can do. Capability-wise, it probably would have been better had RIM called it the "Cuve Flip", and not the "Pearl Flip" as it's more like the Curve than the Pearl.
