For whatever it's worth, this is not my phone but a good friend who works real hard for enough pnuts to feed his 4 little boys, can't afford to break his contract with T-Mobile and really needs Email, I/M services that don't cost him a dime.
Any help would be great.
If your friend is still with T-Mobile, he can just call them up, tell him he is traveling overseas and get the code for free.
Sorry, no it will not. Unlocking the device will only allow them to use it on another GSM carrier other than T-mobile. Unlocking does not have anything to do with email and internet services. You still need to pony up the money if you want those services.. T-mobile's prices are cheaper than any other carrier in the US. $20 for unlimited internet and email. Or $10 for just email service.
You can get the unlocking code from GSMPhone-Unlocking.com.It provides the unlocking code and instructions for your mobile.By using this you can unlock your mobile easily.
