I need to know if there's any sites that I can use to upgrade the operating apftware on my blackberry pearl 8100?

I need to know if there is a site I can upGrade it on FROM my blackberry.

I don't believe you have a wireless update option with that device but I could be mistaken..

That does bring up a question though.....has anybody ever updated their OS OTA?

Remember how that was big talk 2 years ago? You never hear about it now. I have never done it, which is fine. I prefer doing it on the PC.

Just hijacking this thread (sorry BlackBerryPearl) to see if that has been done by anybody...

One more vote for never done it.

I've done an OTA update before. The thing is, I think, that most of us are not even running our official OS. And if I recall correctly you can't do the wireless update on hybrids and leaks. I always shrink the wireless update out of my OS to gain some precious memory.

What OS do you currently have on this device? Is it lower than 4.5? Who is your carrier? If it's AT&T, I think you'll have to go the route of using your PC. Here's the AT&T link which will get you up to Ver. 4.5. and the desk top software if you don't already have it. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4 Instructions also can be found there. Short of that, my suggestion is to call them and see if you can get the answer but I'm pretty certain you can not do OTA upgrade on that device if you have lower than OS ver.4.5. (and maybe not at all, even if you already have 4.5)Otherwise, doing the update via your PC is not too difficult.
