Thread: BestBuy adds Storm 9550 (no 2) to Online Buyers Guide

This morning I checked BestBuy's website and under the Mobile buyers guide (weekly add link) they have added a new booklet that shows the Storm2. As many have said already it is listed as Storm 9550 with no mention of the 2. However, this is likely due to being printed a while ago.

Now the bad news....
There is no mention of pricing or availability and their website shows only the S1 as available. I certainly hope the 28th comes true. My B-day was the 21st and this is my gift to myself.

the craziness of the storm2 continues....and i noticed the ad has a date of oct 25-nov 28, 2009. still no price.

Ok just browsing through some ads this morning and lo and behold the storm 2 showed up as the Sotrm 9550 here.

this is odd, because someone posted one earlier that didnt have it.

I posted this at about 830 this AM. Apparently they updated website over night because it wasn't posted yesterday. Anyway, no release date, no pricing info.

Edit: Rereading my morning post I can see where confusion in possible. It has the Storm2 listed in webbook but not on website for purchase. Also, it refers to Storm2 only as the Storm 9550, not Storm2 although we all know that is now the official name of the device. Sorry for confusion. I am going to Bestbuy today to see if I can "Ninja" some more info from reps

It shows in the "mobile buyers guide" and *see stores for details and pricing. It is this weeks ad though

Just went to two BestBuys and a Verizon corporate store. Both Bestbuys had a canned response. "We are not at liberty say. Just that it will be before Thanksgiving". They continued "it arrived at Vzw corp stores and they said it had issues so launch was delayed." Verizon rep much more open but still unhelpful. He said he talked to Blackberry rep last week and she said "soon, very soon." He was told to get phone numbers of people who asked and call them when they arrive. This tells me there may be less advertising than we expect.

Again I am hopeful for this week. But I am also fairly pessimistic.
