ok.... so i upgraded to the latest .287 hybrid software and it works now! here is a link to the thread that has the download available...

Im on Orange UK everything is in place but it asks me to sign back in on my BB and this will activate a security something or other but when I sign in nothing happens??

you need to be running a 5.0 os. it is only available on 5.0... bummer i know.

In default it says wireless sync not available

instead of default it should say your gmail address... if it does not show your gmail address then it will not work. did you set up your gmail as IMAP? dont know if that would make a difference but mine I have as IMAP cause I think POP3 is a little to limiting... that might be an issue... i dont know. im just spitballing here.

I have set up as IMAP but have it sync to windows mail too Ill try take that off and see...

soooooo.... interesting bug i found... sync is working great but... it errasses my category associations. so now all my contacts are in one list and if i apply one of my filters like i did before like personal / work / etc the list is empty. I reassigned everyone to the correct category last night thinking it was a one time initial sync issue but alas, all my associations were erased again this morning. prolly not gonna get any help here but yeah... any ideas? I would hate to contact rim. lol. "How are you even able to sync at all??? you are not supposed to be running that software..." lol but yeah, anyone have this issue/ideas?

so i see this option but when i try to enable on my device it does not work. When i try to enable online on bis website i dont even see it now... but a few days ago i did but even when i tried it gave me an error....

Are you running OS 5.0? I think this only works with OS 5.0 if I'm not mistaken.

Have you tried accessing it through your phone by going into setup and email setup.
