It's Officially Unofficial; BlackBerry Storm II

Although officially ?unofficial? via a RIM Channel Sales Manager, Alain Segond von Banchet, who, according to the Dutch website Tweakers.com, via Engadget.com. Apparently it will offer a new way to input text, WiFi and I am sure many other refinements. Now the question is; What about all the current Storm owners?

Well, if the Storm 2 is basically the same model as the Storm 1, then the "new way to input text" might just be a new program, which would me that Storm 1 users could just d/l it. Wishful thinking, huh? LOL

hey we may be lucky enough that the circutry is already there, just not the code to make it all work for WiFi. A new download may give us that capability as well.

I know. Pipe dreams....lol But worth hoping for.

This is what I am hoping for as well. Would be nice to have another option in case of no signal...

I would expect some sort of incentive program for existing Storm owners to upgrade to the new version (discounted price, rebate, etc.). The carriers may not do it, but I think RIM just might, especially for the early adopters.

just like the iphone and the iphone 2.....but at least they let the OG iphone users salivate and pimp their phones for a while before pushing it out.... maybe you'll be able to pay an upgrade price???? hmmmm
