Thread: Storm 2 Release Information

We know there have been a lot of rumors floating around regarding the release of the Storm 2 in the last few days. Many discussing exact dates in which the device will be released.

The picture and the following were provided to us from a well respected source.

As of yesterday, VZW has ordered approximately 162000 units from RIM for the West Area (California/Nevada). There's a training video on the Storm2 released to all employees but no scheduled date of release.

Usually if a new handset is schedule for release it would appear on VZW's INFOMANAGER page..but none for the BB9550S2 just yet. So will this device be released in October, it almost certainly will not. The device still seems targeted for a November release, but once again, no information on an exact date has been provided. As we receive more information we will surely let you all know.

Looks more like 1.6 million units ordered. If it has to be November, so be it. I would rather see .288 leak for the S1 first.

As far as I know according to "Houston" the date is between week 2 and 4 of November.

Bahhhhhh I was hoping for Oct. 21st...Hope RIM ships fast! lol

I'm in Detroit, I woke up this morning to the news. The T.V. anchor was doing a story on the storm to, after listing a lot of upgrades over the storm 1, he then said the words we've been waiting to hear for a while...

By this I believe he refers to pre-ordering availability at Voda and people are supposed to get their orders on 26th of October

It was on Fox 2 Detroit, I don't know the guys name but thats what he said. I was surprised they even did a story on a cell phone... I guess it's a pretty big release!
