They have the Omnia and the HTC pro...both have Wifi. I think they're beginning to listen to their customers. One more thing that people need to realize.....Verizon is owned by Vodafone, a European Company.....and Verizon may simply not be able to make all of the decisions on its own...it probably has to listen to "Daddy" company. Just my thoughts....
Woo Hoo! I'm due for the "New Every Two" in September! Hoo Rah! (actually, just really psyched over WiFi - got no issues with my current Storm - BBCrackMan's 114v3 RULES!!!!)![]()
I came from a long line of Samsung smart phones from VZ, the I700 through the I760.
All had wifi.
Turn on the wifi and you could almost hear the battery draining, and that was with the extended battery that stuck out the back 1/4" or so. Samsungs battery was twice the size of the Storm's.
Wifi is great and needed, but there is a downside.

Hey, can one of your explain to me the significance of having WiFi? What's the big deal with having vs not having it?
TIA
Wifi is beneficial to those who don't use a data plan.
They can have a cheaper bill and still have access to the browser.
This is my understanding.
Verizon requires you to have the data plan which gives you 5 GB D/L per month, which is practically unlimited.
So in this sense, if you have to or like to be with Verizon wifi is not a big deal.
