RIM and Adobe to Announce FLASH for Blackberry Support!

Sometime back in August it was rumored that Adobe and RIM were working on a way to make Blackberry devices Flash enabled. Now this information will become official. Tomorrow RIM and Adobe are set to announce a partnership that will indeed bring Flash to the Blackberry experience. The announcement will come at MAX, Adobe's worldwide developers conference.

The speculation is that Blackberry devices that are Flash supported and enabled should be available to the public next summer. However, this date can either be pushed up or pushed back. Only time will tell.

The partnership allows RIM to join Adobe's Open Screen Project, currently a 50 organizations strong alliance whose cause is to promote better apps for a richer mobile, television, and desktop browsing experience for users.

Yeah, I love my Storm, but instead of worrying about bringing flash to the BlackBerry experience, maybe they should concentrate on bringing a decent browsing experience to the BlackBerry that's on par with other feature phones. After getting the browser right, then they can concentrate on adding flash.

I'm thinking the possibilities of extreme themes and software that will be based on flash, specifically java. Although it will be implemented via the browser, i'm sure there is a way to use it outside of that.

I think that by adding Flash it will help raise the quality of the browsing experience, thats just my opinion. And common animated themes would be pretty sick!

I hope this has to do with that browser company they just acquired. I'm hoping for a whole new browser.

This is only 1 feature that will improve the BB experience, and improve the browser...and unfortunately its still far from release (sorry guys)...
don't hesitate to get excited for next year though...RIM is going to blow competitors away ...

This will be awesome. I wonder if flash just be in the browser or on the phone in general.
