Not sure where you are seeing that. The only thing I have the ability to sync is my with phone with deleted items

yup, came through on mine also, sync contacts or deleted items

It's the same for me. I only have the option to sync deleted items. No option to sync contacts.

Are you on Verizon?
Go to email settings, either on your BB or on your pc and look in the gmail settings. I now have an option to sync Contacts.
Once you select it, the activation process will start on your BB.

Yep on Verizon. Don't see the option through BB or my phone. Perhaps they are rolling it out by region? I noticed you are in Florida. I am on the west coast so perhaps this has something to do with it. In either case, I don't have that option as of yet.

I'm on Verizon in the Twin Cities, MN region and also have the option to sync contacts.

EDIT: I restarted my phone and sent service books, but when I try to select "Sync Contacts" from the BIS website I get the following error. An error has occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again.

On Verizon, on .230 I got the same error but when I went to email settings on the phone, SUCCESS! We'll see how successful after some edits / additions / deletions on both ends...

Don't you need a version 5 OS to be able to get the contact synch?
