Remember back when Blackberry went on a patent spree and we were all shown some of their styles. Some we liked, some we disliked. Well, one of them was the patent for the "Blackhawk". Pictured below.
While the Blackberry world tries to figure out just how exactly this phone is going to look like (def not like a samsung i730) we can get a general idea with the patent image. The only difference is there will be no trackball or trackpad.
I was able to get confirmation on the specs of this phone from the Ninja. Now remember, this phone is in very early early stages. They may and probably will get changed before final production.
So when I asked what this phone actually looks like since the picture we had up was NOT the phone, this is what I was told. Picture the storm two, with a slide out qwert ex. the htc touch pro. Except the storm will be all screen.
Now, the specs on this phone, if they ARE final. I'm impressed. These are exactly from the e-mail I received, copy and pasted.
-5mp camera with auto flash
-824mhz processor
-full mobile graphics chip (not sure the brand or type but will find out) for gaming
-OLED "HD" screen full touch sensitive and gaming consumer geared (like iphone) for ex. playing mario cart. or a driving game you turn it in hands the screen follows. RIM has patent'd this tech and is yet to be named but far from new.
-wi-fi bg (n tested in labs battery falls way short)
-lte,cdma,evdo,rev-a,rev-b,gsm quad band. and for att release 7.2+mbps
-2100 mah battery as of now. could change at release.
-beta adobe flash being tested for full flash browsing.
some notes i found on it.- as of now sar rating is trying to be reduced as it is slated at 1.8 at the ear and US laws need it below 1.6 or lower. So its in very early testing but it is out there. and current internal release date will be around the 3rd anniversary of the storm. so figure nov 2010- feb 2011.
