for now I am going with this is what they are planning, from the agenda title its got to be in the 'plan' but keep in mind vzw also 'planned' to release an os update with in weeks of MR1

true and having worked at verizon since the beginning they have NEVER released a phone ontime.

on a side note which no one has mentioned I know people were worried about bis 2.8 in sept, well with mr1 coming for the tour, does it make you wonder??

Since I am switching over to Verizon in October, I am going to wait a year, unless its sold for a deal that I can not pass up.

Why, well I hope in Oct. I go back to work, and need to catch up on some bills and buy clothes for my daughter.

You are 100% incorrect in thinking that the CDMA 9550 will be 2G, as a matter of fact; you'd be completely incorrect if you stated that the CDMA 9530 is 2G.

The 9530 and 9550 are BOTH full 3G handsets. They are both capable of EVDO Rev. A; which is Verizon's latest 3G technology. It may have a different name on CDMA, however, it's just as much 3G as any GSM device. As a matter of fact, if I am not mistaken, EVDO Rev. A is technically 3.5G

Maybe it's a good thing that the latest leak (5.0.0.191) shows a 3G indicator instead of 1XEV; it might help dispel these myths.

It makes me wonder why there is nothing noted in the document about MR3 for the 9530...... If the Tour is going to be fully BIS 2.8 compliant in September, I demand that my 9530 is ALSO fully BIS 2.8 compliant in September.

If this info is true, I'm still gonna wait a bit before I buy the Storm 2. I learned my lesson from buying the Storm at launch.

lol. It does make you wonder but maybe its because of the release date of s2, we will know more soon I am sure but for now take this all with a grain of salt
