Thread: You can now see Appworld store on your desktop

I dont know if any of you are like me and have wished you could find the app you want on appworld, and then go directly to it on your phone. Saving you the hassle of searching endlessly through it on your BB.

Edit- Just to clarify this is for browsing, for those of you that have appworld. It will not send you a link to download the app directly. Hope this helps. It is handy for finding the app you want and having it sent right to your phone to take you to it in appworld for download.

Its a fantastic find for OS 5.0. You should announce it again. Os 5.0 cant get app world on device. its a great find for us.

It's about time they added this. This is very good news!

IT sucks (and i'm assuming this because i do not have app world on my phone)... Tried downloading several free links, when the emails arrive some of the links are not clickable and the ones that are take you to a page to download in app world. What if I dont want app world on my phone?....... So if you dont want app world on your phone its not very good. But i will assume if you do have app world it probably works fine.
I guess i was expecting a site that would send you the jad links not a link to download app world. If i'm doing something wrong someone please help me!!!

I have updated the OP sorry Should have said that in the beginning. It is only for finding an app to download on your phone through appworld.

I actually have been reading the blog on the link you attached and am thinking you may be able to download app world on the desktop and bypass loading it on the phone. if that works i will let you all know asap.

Nope... spoke too soon, just gives you the option to download app for the phone via desktop or jad.
Its ok if you want to see what they have and i guess try and google for a direct link.
Why wouldnt they run it like a mobihand or onlyblackberry?

has anyone actually used this to dl an app? i sent myself a couple apps to test it and click on "open in bb app world" and nothing :dunno:

Yea its a little disapointing.....
you have to have app world on your phone or it wont work :17:

I totally agree, if you have ap world on your phone this is great so easy to search just not well though out on rims part.

Tip: make sure you are the current App World version of 1.1.0.15 or the links wont work If you need to upgrade, simply search for App World through App World. Thanks again J!!
