Desktop Manager for Mac caught in the wild.

Ever wonder what Desktop Manager would look like on a Mac?

Well there you have it. Apparently, Adam from Crackberry wondered into a New York T-Mobile store and they had Desktop Manager for Mac running. RIM Product Manager Andrey Feldman was there, but he was tight lipped about the release date only saying sometime in September.

So, what were his thoughts after playing with it for a bit? Adam said the software is ,"trimmed but functional" with only a few minor differences, like the ability to sync with iCal calendars and easier OS updates. iTunes will be easily sync as you would expect, but one major problem is that you will supposedly not allow you to install a leaked operating system on your device, only those that have been officially released by a carrier.

Here is a list of the included features:
    •Integrated Media Sync for iTunes
    •Backup and Restore
    •Install/Remove 3rd party applications
•Ability to automatically sync multiple iCal calendars
    •Ability to sync with Entourage
•Ability to sync multiple devices on multiple Macs
•Event settings for syncing (which device calendar to sync with, merge etc.)
•Automatically detects new carrier released OS updgrades for devices
•Abiltity to rename a device and view available free device memory
