    This is just my luck!! Get new phone, and in the middle of setting it up, this happens. Made me think my phone was screwed up. half of the people I sent requests to approved them, but the arent showing up in friends list. Hopefully they appear.

    yea lol and peoples status on fb and twitter.. were " i effin luv bbm 5.0" lol.. so that spread it out more too.. and plus one friend have the stormota link as his status lol.. but well c.. we just gave they're lazy behinds somethin to do.. cause i need a newer 5.0 OS to put on my phone that i can actually keep and use.. lol.. cause it was great till i realized it was crippled .. sigh.. newayz.. 10 points for the bb nation stickin it to the man.. lol

    do we know if this is just affecting 5.0 bbm? i have the old one and just had a full convo with someone else on it but cant seem to get anyone on 5.0 to receive my messages

    I believe there are more than 100million BB users and not many of them now about this forums. But 6% are enjoying them!

    You raise a good point. Perhaps BBM 5 is housed on a separate server??

    I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but a couple of my contacts are duplicated. I checked the pin for each and they are the same.

    You're right J, bbm5 is hosted in a diff server than the old bbm and the server in question is down due to the massive usage, and you say 6 millions???
