Awesome story man. I get so excited when I can get others excited about a BlackBerry product. I've been able to get 8 others locally to get a BlackBerry PlayBook in the past year and it really makes me feel good when they are enjoying it every day. But I get even more excited when I find out someone wants to replace a phone they have now for a BlackBerry. Can't wait for BB10 to prove to the world.
My name is James and I am a BlackBerryaholic.
I was just released from prison in '08 when I got my new little Nokia flip phone. It felt really good to have a cell phone and I wore it on my hip with pride. I really loved that phone until I visited my brother in Hawaii.....and he showed off his iPhone. From that moment I vowed to step up into the world of smart phones. When I got back to my Florida home, I drove straight down to Sprint. The choices were unbelievable. I walked back and forth around the shop until a familiar name presented itself: BlackBerry. The name itself was like a powerful elixir and from the moment I saw that BB 8330, I knew it was the phone for me and my heart started beating wildly. That day started a love affair that continues today. That day was the beginning of the end for my relationship with my girlfriend at the time. Simply put, my new BB was way more entertaining and fun than she was. As I would lay in bed staring at my little black friend and exploring its wonders, Jamie would scowl and squirm. I didn't care....I had found another and I have never looked back. A month later I said the fatal words: "I think we need a break". Even now as I write this on my bridged Playbook with my lovely Bold 9930 sitting close (With a brand new Decal Girl skin outfit), I cannot imagine another. The functionality, the design and my unwavering loyalty for my chosen brand (or did it choose me?) makes me feel complete and in control of the many aspects of my life. From work to my family to my entertainment, my Bold never let's me down. It never talks back. It never gives me grief and never fails me. So, until BlackBerry and father RIM give up the ghost, I will be here. I will remain loyal. I will always be a BlackBerryaholic.
*In June of 2011 I married an amazing woman. We met at Church and the first time she pulled out her BlackBerry Storm, I gasped and knew she was the one for me.
