Although OS 7.1 has been released to some other countries already and can be used by everyone, we cannot blame the others who haven’t got the guts to use it on their devices for some reasons. This is definitely great news to every Filipino BlackBerry fan who has been waiting for this official release for quite some time now.
Filipinos will be able to experience this awesome operating system and utilize cool added features like BlackBerry Tag that can change the way BlackBerry users share information and content. By simply tapping their NFC-enabled BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone against another NFC-enabled BlackBerry smartphone, users can make sharing easier than ever! They can instantly invite a friend to BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), exchange contact information, documents, URLs, photos, apps and other multimedia content, and they can also pair their BlackBerry smartphone with an NFC-enabled Bluetooth device. With BlackBerry 7.1 OS, customers can be productive virtually anywhere. They can now turn their BlackBerry smartphone into a Mobile Hotspot that can be shared by up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices, including laptops and tablets.
Apparently, this awesome OS is only available for BlackBerry Bold 9900 users for download. Users can update their smartphone by visiting BlackBerry - Updates or by simply using their BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Other BlackBerry 7 users may try the OS 7.1 released by different carriers outside the country if you are so eager to use this great operating system but make sure you know how to update it properly.
