WeatherEye App now supports BlackBerry Storm!!

WeatherEye application for BlackBerry now has BlackBerry Storm support. Previously the

WeatherEye application was only designed for devices with trackballs. You could still use the app, however it doesn’t work 100%.

Anyways Plemorex has finally released the new version 1.1.1.6 which looks more like the iPhone’s WeatherEye app and gives full touch support.

You can download it by pointing your BlackBerry browser to OTA or visit this Link on your desktop.

Anyways we’ve attached some screen shots for you see… If you haven’t checked out this app before do it!

    Neo,

How do you like this compared to WeatherBug with alert notices and so on?

Neo, does the menu icon have the weather with temp. I have had weatherbug since the day I got the phone and it is prolly my most app. (besides my bbos launcher.lol) I just hate the leaks that WB. gives me.

I have been using Weatherbug since I got the Storm...

Weathereye is awesome in its layout.

Similar to Weatherbug, it opens to its own screen like shown above.
The sensitivity to the different buttons seems better than WB.

It has current, short term, long term weather, options, WWW, and a close key.
The close key is not as sensitive as the others and it took me a few times to get it to close out the application, although, clicking the end hard key will close it out.
Regarding the alerts, there is not a separate button like in Weatherbug and I have only have had it installed for a few hrs. so that is yet to be seen.
The icon, which can be moved to the home screen is very similar to WB with the current conditions. (like the moon, with 48 degrees and cloudy displayed in text above it when highlighted).

I hope that helps you and others...feel free to leave your own review I would love to see what others think.

Sure thing, I really like it so far...and even if it doesn't have alerts on it, no biggie, I'm sure between tv and radio I will get any serious updates I need.

by support, do you mean the city you type in doesn't come up as a choice?

if so, the same happened for mine. i chose the city next to mine and it worked fine.

pick the closest bigger city near you. the weather won't be that much different.

another thing i noticed in my messing with it last night is that it locks in portrait mode.

coud be good or bad depending on what people like, but i don't mind it

The only prob is i'm in the center of PA. The two biggest cities are Pittsburgh and Philly. Both 4-5 hours away south. Big difference in weather.

aww man, yeah your right that would make a difference...well, maybe as it gains in popularity it will get updated.

you should shoot them an email telling them of the issue. Maybe they will have some info on future updates.
