Thread: Extra TV Giving Away Five BlackBerry PlayBooks

Another little PlayBook giveaway was spotted today. This time it was on the TV show Extra on NBC. Mario Lopez, host of Extra, broke it down on the show tonight. After going into details about the "PlayBook 2.0," as he called it, they went on to give each of the audience members a PlayBook. Then they let the TV audience in on how they can win one too. I was there since 8:30am at the Grove until 2:00pm and the giveaway was a lie. I was in the audience and didn't get one as they say they gave to the audience, because one of the stage producers said that she could give it to whoever she wanted and not give it to who ever she wanted. She gave them to the people that were in the backstage with them who I guess work for EXTRA. Anyway I have already sent several emails to media and as an audience and consumer I am so upset that they false advertise all this. Not fair and not cool to do this to people. Just want Blackberry to know what they are doing with their name. I don't think it is good publicity for Blackberry.

Unfortunately this type of false advertising and distorting TV happens all the time.
