Being latino, I'm always watching the spanish channel on TV for better or for worse. This evening something caught my eye during the annual award show "Premios Lo Nuestro." One of the hosts, came on screen and talked about how she just tweeted a picture of the next act that was about to perform using her BlackBerry Bold. Then she went on to say how amazing of a phone it was because of the great keyboard and cool touchscreen display.

I was pretty surprised but in reality I don't think I should have been. BlackBerry has had amazing product placement and advertising in Latin America for years. Along with the U.K., Latin America has proven to be one of RIM's strong points in these recent times of struggle. I'm use to seeing commercials and other BlackBerry ads but seeing a Bold, front and center in a major award show is pretty huge. I'm glad to see RIM holding strong to one of their best markets in the globe.
