We knew this eventually would have to happen in order for the newer PlayBooks to come to the forefront. Last week, we reported the leaked 2012 BlackBerry roadmap which included a new 3G PlayBook with a 1.5GHz processor and NFC built-in.
Today, Telus has marked all 3 PlayBook WiFi only models as EOL (End of Life) in order to get them off the shelves in time for these future tablet models. Telus is also bringing down prices for the 16GB and 32GB models ($149) and the 64GB ($299) with this in mind. If you've yet to pick up a PlayBook, right now may be the best time to do so.
