Transitioning...Global Market
The iPhone is a better multimedia device, it's phone, e-mail and messaging features are not as good as a BB.
RIM is in the process of transitioning from BBOS to the new BB10 OS and ecosystem, the more devices out there in the hands of users, the more traction BB10 gets with developers. One must also remember that RIM caters to the entire global market which has many different and diverse needs. What may seem like a waste of time in North America may be ideal in Africa, Asia, South America and the Caribbean, where most networks are not as technologically advanced. I should know, I live in Barbados where we have HSPA+ but not LTE.
