Thread: Porsche Exclusive BlackBerry Knight to be announced October 27th

Remember the leaked pictures of that ugly square looking phone that was labeled BlackBerry back in August? Well after initially being dismissed as fake, it turns out it's actually a BlackBerry smartphone. The BlackBerry Knight, as it's being called, is apparently a Porsche exclusive BlackBerry. Below is a picture of a Porsche event on October 27th, in which the BlackBerry Knight will be unveiled.

In essence, the BlackBerry Knight is Bold 99xx with a different shell. For some, it might be an acquired taste as it's not the most aesthetic device out there. The BlackBerry Knight will be available exclusively at Porsche retailers.

Makes no difference still and ugly phone that I would not buy.

Agreed. RIM should stick to it's own design and Porche should stick to cars.
The other 2 Porches phones, the P9521 and the P9522 cost an arm and a leg but nothing special.
If RIM wants to make an exclusive line up, make a deal with Vertu prices on request.

Its exclusively for Porche owners.

All that money spent on a nice car to get a kick in the balls with a ugly phone.

I'm not sure if it's clear if you have to be a Porsche owner to be eligible to buy one but they will be only exclusively available via Porsche. To be honest I don't mind that they're making a sort of collector's item for Porsche. It doesn't hurt RIM in anyway. I'm indifferent to it.

I figured they came as a gift with the purchase of the car.
