RIM Now Has 70 Million Subscribers Worldwide

BlackBerry isn't going anywhere. RIM now has over 70 million subscribers worldwide. That's something to take seriously considering all of the turmoil the company has been going through over the past few months. Its clear many people are still choosing BlackBerry as their preferred mobile device.

In reference to the video, RIM's Global Sales and Regional Marketing Managing Director Patrick Spence, stated:
"BlackBerry is integral to the way we live and the diversity of our global community is truly outstanding. We want to celebrate hitting a landmark 70 million subscribers, and thank our customers, by sharing some of their remarkable stories"
Its been a tough road this year for RIM, but clearly its hasn't all been bad. What are some reasons you prefer BlackBerry?

I think it's time people started giving credit where this is due.
Rim, unlike others, doesn't sell (smart)phones, they sell a secure way of communicating.
To me, no other brand has it's fine balance between a user friendly device, messaging (text, mms and email), security (it's servers and required BIS / BES), functionality, business and fun.
Most companies want to make a "music device" or a "business device" etc, RIM wraps it in a simple to use package available for anybody.
They keep taking hits but still standing and I believe that when QNX hits, and it's brought good, it will make them grow again.
