Thread: Possible BIS Outage Across U.K.

We've received several reports that there is currently a BlackBerry Internet Service outage affecting the U.K. across all carriers. Apparently this outage is affecting all parts of the BIS including BBM, email, and web browsing. No details or confirmation from RIM's part as of yet and we are sure they are working their hardest to get all services back online.

• If you're in the U.K., are you experiencing any BIS outages?

Yep, Its definitely not working since 7pm UK time. The service has been very temperamental over the past 6 months. So much so that some users have considered or have left BB's altogether for Androids and been using WhatsApp instead. Come on RIM! Get your popular service back on track and reliable as it always use to be!

I wonder why the UK is having issues and the US is not? Been a while since I've experience any BIS problems here in the US.

I have not noticed any issues as yet and have probably been using my device a lot more over the last week due to upgrading to the new 9860. All appears to be fine where I am

I wonder if it has anything to do with the riots.

Last night, we got a lot of reports from the U.K. about a possible BIS outage affecting emails, BBM and web browsing.

While most people in the U.K. have seen this issue resolved, we're now receiving reports about parts of BIS being down in Canada now. BlackBerry Messenger seems to be the only affected part of BIS right now. BBMs are not going through but email delivery and web browsing seems to be working well for some. Hopefully this will get sorted out sooner rather than later.

Its possible. Police did say they will be "scanning/reading" all BBM's.

I am in Dominican Republic and here too the precent problems bbm

Problems here with BBM on Rogers. Earlier today email was affected as well.

I'm in Egypt with Etisalat Egypt and Blackberry services are working properly now but yesterday it wasn't sending or receiving anything but things got better today's morning
