Thread: Leaked- OS v4.7.0.151 for Blackberry Storm 9500!

Storm 9500 owners out there should be pleased to see this one, 4.7.0.151 has leaked online and is now available online for all too grab, of course again this is NOT an official RIM release of the OS so standard disclaimers apply.. And all you 9530 owners, sit tight if the 9500 is showing up now history tells us the 9530 version is not far behind.

Is it fair to say the enhancements over 148 most likely are not significant, considering it is 151 vs 148?

You can use the Java from it but not the CDMA folder. the radio(sfi) is only for 9500. So you could use the java with .148 9530 radio for example. If you install it go to>my computer>program files>common files>Research In Motion>Shared>Loader Files>9500-v4.7.0.151_P4.0.0.186 and then copy and paste the java folder from there to your 9530 folder, which would also be in the Loader Files folder.

apparently the plazmic files need to be replaced for it to work on the 9530

Definitely will try that...

Java files for this are the same date as .148 not sure if you will see much of an improvement over .148.

im hearin that color bandin is gone and that they added a new animation for openin and closin things.. but its makin custom themes not work and causin phones to crash.. sigh.. at least theyre still tryin ... once they figure all this stuff out.. then the 5.0.0.xxx series will be the much better i hope..

So you don't approve of .151?

Well this is good news actually. That means a 9530 version will hopefully be right around the corner. Maybe BBC can make v7 with it and have no more color banding.:banana:

Big news...Free memory after quickpull is 48MB! This is the highest Ive ever experienced but we will have to see if that figure holds or if it leaks down.

The "lag" between opening\closing\switching apps is definitely quicker...much more snappy.

Also noticed on About page...the copyright now extends to 2009, meaning this release was the first (ive noticed) to be created inside 2009...we are def catching up folks!

Now change the OS in your profile....it's a little behind
