iMessage will not be the fall of BBM by any means. The reason why BBM has rocked is NOT because it bypasses the SMS count/use on our plans (most people have unlimited texting anyways), and it is NOT because of the check, D, and R either (many apps like WhatsApp, Qik; etc have copied this already), but instead it is the whole integration of not having to log in/out, having a separate contact list/address book-like feel to it that lets each friend have it's own individual picture, status message; etc. This is the one of the things that iMessage lacks in the user interface department in my opinion.
I cannot wait for someone to switch over to an iPhone from a BB to try iMessage thinking it's just like BBM and then immediately ask "wait, there's no like seperate app or contact list, it's just integrated in the address book? how do I add people? no contact pictures or statuses? what if I wanna SMS someone when the Apple servers go down and iMessage stops functioning? what about the groups? no... that's just a group chat that gets deleted after everyone leaves..."
I had a lot to say about it and hadn't gotten a chance to let it out lol

Let them take more and more market share! Those people who are switching from BlackBerry to Droid or iPhone are traitors and dont deserve to carry a BB. They can have their other crap phones lol.
Jrod carries around a naughty and nice list of those who have left BlackBerry for over 10 years now.
