Thread: First Credible Reports Of Bin Laden’s Death Tweeted from a BlackBerry

If you use Twitter then you most likely received the news of Osama Bin Laden's death before the US President was able to broadcast what happened.

Interestingly, our keen eyes here at BlackBerryOS noticed the tweet came from a BlackBerry - as shown in the image above. Keith Urbahn, the Chief of Staff for former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, tweeted from his BlackBerry:

"I'm told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden."

Just goes to show, if you want the news first, just keep an eye on your BlackBerry.

If you believe everything on the news you will get that perspective. The people of the US are in a struggle against the corrupt leaders in our government. A lot of citizens can't wait for next election.

I try not to mix politics with BlackBerry unless it's about a Politician using a BlackBerry. If you want my personal opinion, you can always PM me.

People come to this site for the most part as a relief to all the Political BS going on so we can put aside our differences and get along based upon our common interests.

You can talk about whatever you want as long as it stays clean. I prefer not to talk too deep into politics because people are easily offended on the topic. Plus as the owner I have to stay relatively neutral.

I don't have a problem at all, its actually nice to have the no politics rule, not like other BlackBerry forums...it's one of the things that make BBOS unique

Anyone can talk politics, as long as it stays within our Posting Rules and Guidelines, which basically says to make sure it's on topic, in the correct thread, and stays free of insults.
