Thread: Report claims Nokia courted RIM before jumping into bed with Microsoft

According to an unconfirmed report from TechCrunch Europe, Nokia was interested in a possible partnership with RIM before announcing their decision to partner Windows Phone 7. The guys from BGR report:

It had been widely reported that Nokia was deciding between Google’s Android platform and Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 OS when considering its future, but RIM’s BlackBerry platform was apparently also in the running to become Nokia’s potential savior. Citing “well-placed sources,” the blog claims that RIM wasn’t interested in a partnership and so the decision came down to two options.

Nokia + RIM... would you approve??

Nokia clearly has nothing left in the creative world. So glad RIM smacked them with a disinterest. There's no competition for RIM and their great work, in my opinion.

And Nokia used to be known for their innovation. Just goes to show that it is tuff to stay on top of the game.
